This System will be available on two new phones being released by Years end and will have an all-you-can-eat Broadband connection. Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), part of the Australian government, sued Japan's Buffalo Technology and its Austin, Texas-based subsidiary in February of 2005. Thje reason for this is because soem of the devices developed by these companies violated a patent on held by CSIRO. The judge inccharge of the case has ruled in favor of CSIRO for the time being which meas that JBT is probably going to have problems with their devices and may have to find an alternative route to develop Wifi Devices.

Reasons for this are stated as Yahoo company needs to reorganize its business and Job Cuts of up to 20 percent will most likely be seen. Stated within the articles it says that "We lack a focused, cohesive vision for our company," Garlinghouse writes, a second-year executive. "We want to do everything and be everything -- to everyone." This in all seems like a good idea for the business and may well be about time. However, this brings up problems for those who will have their jobs taken from them. Hopefully everything will work out int he end and these job cuts will be worth it.

Adobe Suing Microsoft

Adobe as we all known has been suing Microsoft because of software compatibility issues. For awhile now Microsoft has been making it extremely difficult for programmers to create software that was not windows based. Microsoft made it difficutl for sellers of software to have their products run corrrectly or limited on computered with windows operating systems. This is true within the new operating system being erelease sometime soon. In the article ive read this was stated. "Microsoft's new Vista software, due to be released early next year, contains a version of fixed document formats which would compete with Adobe's PDF format. Microsoft has pledged to make changes to its version." Hopefully Microsoft will realize that wihtout allowing others to expeiment and add to the windows experience no real improvements in service will be made. Microsoft may never reach its true potential if they stick to their restricing ways.

I know the Commerical Christmas season is upon us but it would be nice to hear of more than jsut consoles. Although there were many problems with the price of the product and the release date, many gamers were patiently awaiting its arrival and at many stores around the country there were floods of gamers standing in enormous lines in order to purchase one for themselves. There were even some events around the country that wer held where the first 400 people inside would get tickets that would allow them to purchase a system. This to me seemed quite rediculous but then again this was indeed a good marketing strategy for those buisnesses who held these events. Personally i would not stand in line for these consoles i would rather wait out the flush of people and just buy the system at a more reasonable time.

PS3 Report

The ps3 has been ghaving probl;ems since the begining of its development process. Because of recalls and failures throughout its system the date of release was pushed back dramaticly and because of this the consoles popularity and reliability status went down drastically. Sales for the ps3 have dropped 92% and very few of these consoles have been produce because of the amount of money it costs to build them and low demand. Howeve, the company seems to be making good money because although man y have abandoned the console for this year there are still quite a few loyal fans who want to purchase the product. The ps3 is priced at 500 to 600 dollars depending on the services you would like. Limited supplies and high price are usually not a very good selling strategy unless you have die hard fans. Considering Sony's reputation this should not be any problem and might just be considered a minor draw back.

In a very surprising twist olf events Nintendo has finally after over 6 years become number one in consoles for this year. The Wii is selling more than the ps3 and Xbox 360 due to the overwhelming price of the competition. The Wii is said to be very enhanced and affordable. this is what is giving the Wii the advantage in sales this year. The fact that the Wii is selling more and has become more popular than its competitors has crowned the Wii as the dominant console for the 2006-2007 year. I myself look forward to purchasing the Wii because of its new motion sensor controls, nice graphics, and gameplay.

Myspace LawSuit

Universal Music Group is suing MySpace - claiming the online social network site is encouraging its users to illegally share music and music videos. MySpace is arguing against this and saying that the information they allow are not copyrighted and have been given to them with permission from artists. Any illegal file sharing and information iws delted with the consequence of the user or users involved being banned from the site. There seems to be many changes to myspace in the up coming year. Some of these changes include in stricter limitations in video uploads songs being able to be put on page and copyrighted information to be banned.

Issues with Bloggin Service

For the past couple weeks i have been unable to log into my account and so have been unable to post. I have talked to the Blogsote tech help and they helped me find out the problem with my account. Turns out my password had been changed along with my registered email address so i had to have it reset to a previous date where my account was in working condition. Dell-AMD partnership is official

It was not much of a surprise that Dell has finally officially stated that they are making a partnership with AMD. They had previously begun using features that were associated with it. There purchase of Alienware was the biggest "hint" that they were leading towards a partnership with AMD. Therefore all the rumors and such have now been confirmed. Dell and AMD are now uniting in order to build better functioning multimedia PCs and laptops.

Intel Multimedia PC Contest

I found this to be a pretty good opportunity for those who enjoy building computers and designing their own equipment. Intel is giving money to participants in this contest in order to produce a multimedia computer that is not only well valued in features and pricing but shape size and design. The overall prize for the contest is valued at 1 million dollars. Some of the constraints are that the pc build must use the intel 2 duo core processor and have the siystem run almost flawlessly and have no compadability issue.

Global Conflict: Palestine is a game that not only entertains but teaches the plaer more about the conflict in palestine. Within the game you are a journalist who is trying to get the full story behind these conflicts. its up to you to bring peace and obtain all information possible to write the story of a lifetime. Many teachers and students themselves have stated that by playing the game for just one day they have learned more about history than from the teachings of a college professor in 6 months. There is alot of talk about this game and it seems very worth while an investment. I enjoyed the way they are now combining entertainment with a more of an educational twist rather than just for gore.

This may be old news to many of you out there but i stumbled accross an article whcih spoke about vMix and Winstar joining forces. I thought this was a pretty cool article because it spoke about how vMix which is a music video generater website that generates music videos using photos and such from its users. The articles talked about how vMix is going to be represented by Winstar interactive in order to advertise for one another. Mattel has released a new X-Men game in the US that allows players to level up and store battle data on individual cards. This card trading game is definitely different from all the rest. The ability to store data and level up your characters will give each card a unique value. The reason for this is because may card could become stronger than others of the same kind. This is a new generation of card trading games and I for one am very interested in seeing the outcome for such games.

Netflix has launched a contest that will improve their services by 10%. The contest calls for a contestant to improve on the quality of the titles database. What the contestant must do is is try and make the personalized movie recommendations 10% more accurate. In return for this the contestant will win 1 million dollars. The company made available 100 million anonymous movie ratings submitted by its subscribers for use in the contest. However if no one win the grand prize Netflix will give away 50,000 dollars to anyone who comes close to completing this task. They will do this until they can find a grand prize winner.
